Weeding creates a disposal problem. We are the disposal answer that pays.
A weeding project produces pallets of material that has to go somewhere. The usual options are a dumpster, a recycler who charges, or a Friends group that is already overwhelmed.

Discards, withdrawals and the long tail.
We take ex-library material as it comes: stamps, spine labels, barcodes, jacket covers, security strips and all. There is no preparation for your staff to do.
A portion of any weeded collection has real online demand, usually the technical and regional material a branch could no longer justify shelving. That portion funds the handling of everything else.

What happens to what cannot be sold.
Honestly, and this matters for your reporting.
Unsellable material goes into our monthly $1 community sale, and what remains after that goes to recycling. It does not come back to you and it does not go to landfill by default.
If your system needs disposal documented for its own records, tell us what format you need and we will produce it.

Where the proceeds go.
Half of net proceeds returns to the system, or to the Friends group you nominate. Many systems prefer the second, so the money lands where it can be spent without a budget process.
We are a for-profit company, not a charity, and we say so plainly on every page. The value to you is that the arrangement is straightforward, contractual, and does not depend on anybody’s goodwill.
